This 13th century convent, restored in the course of the 16th century and four hundred years later completely rennovated by Mr. and Mrs. Mungo - Buffaut (1982 - 2000), is located on the outskirts of Castiglion Fiorentino, a typically tuscan village surrounded by serene olive trees and ancient cypresses. It lies along the hillsides overlooking the Val di Chio.
Part of the Albo D'Onore, a prestigious registry of regional historic homes, Villa Sant'Agnese is also protected under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. Mr. and Mrs. Mungo - Buffaut are also members of the Association of Italian and European Historic Homes.
